Before Trim


This 20 year old quarter horse gelding was diagnosed with heaves, had inspiratory and expiratory wheezing and held his head close to the ground. After an unsuccessful treatment of steroids and diet restriction, it was suggested the horse be euthanized; After all conventional treatment was exhausted, the horse was donated to the Fischer Equine Lameness Foundation. After Trim

Seven months after first trim, the horse is sound, free of any manifestations of heaves. The horse is in a full time lesson program and shown in hunter pleasure, western pleasure and speed games.(click on the thumbnails for enlarged view)
